Save Our Water

Oklahoma is starting a 5-year study on water resources. Texas and other states are looking to buy Oklahoma water, which is not a long-term sustainable operation.

Save Our Water is an organization formed to get a moratorium on out of state water sales out of Lake Eufaula (the largest man-made lake within Oklahoma ). Two Oklahoma Greens attended a recent gathering of the group and reported back that the campaign deserves our support.

Peace legislation introduced in Oklahoma legislature

Senator Connie Johnson introduces Senate Concurrent Resolution 3 for “non-escalation” of America’s involvement in “Iraq and other areas” and “requiring Congressional approval prior to such action.”

See the Resolution (below). Every Oklahoman can urge their Senator and Representative to Cosponsor and Support SCR 3 (House co-author of SCR 3 is Representative Ray McCarter from Marlow)

New film on Ralph Nader and electoral access

An Unreasonable Man is an award-winning, nuanced documentary about Ralph Nader that is being released in major cities across the country. Co-directed by Steve Skrovan, the executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond, An Unreasonable Man features a lengthy segment on the exclusion of Nader and other candidates from the 2000 presidential debates, despite the fact that a majority of Americans supported their inclusion.
